Docomomo Slovenia co-operates with the [[Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia (ZVKDS)]] and also link its activities with various educational programmes of the [[Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana]]. In 2004 the first Docomomo Symposium and study trip were organised under the title Docomomo - Slovenia Example, with participating 15 lecturers and 200 architects, art historians, conservators, urbanists, sociologists and students. This event involved a presentation of the first three Modernist buildings located in Slovenia, which had been inscribed in the Register of the Docomomo International. In May 2006 a second Docomomo Symposium was organised in Ljubljana under the title The Restoration of the Visible Concrete. This event presented and discussed various new themes, including the [[Tovarna Rog]] project, based in a former bicycle factory, plans for the restoration of the Trg republike in Ljubljana city centre and some other Modernist architecture in Ljubljana, Murska Sobota and Mengeš.

Docomomo Slovenia is a working group which is part of the Docomomo International network since 2005. It brings together a wide range of professionals: architects, conservators, art historians, sociologists, urban planners, and landscape architects. Its main task is to register relevant Slovene Modern Movement architecture in the Docomomo International Heritage Register. The first 5 Slovene structures listed in the register are: the National and University Library (NUK), Ljubljana, by Jože Plečnik; Nebotičnik, Ljubljana, by Vladimir Šubic; Villa Oblak, Ljubljana, by France Tomažič; the Assembly of Kranj Municipality (OLO) and Trg Republike, Ljubljana, by Edvard Ravnikar.

This event involved a presentation of the first 5 Modernist buildings located in Slovenia which had been listed in the Docomomo International Heritage Register.

In 2006 the second Docomomo Symposium was organised in Ljubljana under the title The Restoration of the Visible Concrete. This event presented and discussed various new themes, including the Tovarna Rog project, based in a former bicycle factory, plans for the restoration of the Trg Republike in Ljubljana, and some other Modernist architecture in Ljubljana, Murska Sobota, and Mengeš.

Lectures by international experts dealing with the renovation of Modern Movement architecture have been organised yearly since 2005; in 2009 a lecture on Swedish post-war architecture was held in Ljubljana by Claes Caldenby, Professor at Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg (Sweden).

A monography Atlas Ravnikar was published by Docomomo Slovenia in 2007 at the 100th anniversary of Ravnikar's birth.
