In December 2009 it was defunct by Glasbena Mladine Slovenije after 13 years of ongoing struggles and dedicated authorship. Instead of Muska new magazine ''Glasna'' was established by GMS with the new appointed editorial staff. Its content is more localized to domestic events and "high-brow" oriented.

Glasna magazine was launched in 2010 as a successor to the former Muska. Its content is more localised to domestic musical events and it is oriented mostly to articles on classical music. It presents Slovene composers, conductors, musicians, ensembles, choirs, etc. and delivers book and concert reviews.

Background

Glasna continues the Jeunesses Musicales International's tradition in the publishing of music periodicals. Glasna replaced Muska, a high-quality music magazine which covered many musical genres from rock to classical. Muska, however, was rooted in its predecessor Glasbena mladina (GL) magazine (1970–1996).
