The Architects' Council of Europe (ACE) was founded in 1990. It is based in Brussels as its principal function is to monitor and influence developments at EU level highlighting those areas of EU Policy that have a direct impact on architectural practice, policy and the built environment. The ACE membership consists of the professional representative organisations of all 25 European Union (EU) Member States and the three Accession States, as well as Switzerland and Norway. As such it is an organisation that represents the interests of over 450,000 architects from Europe.
The Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) is a member of ACE.
