History
The first Biennial was organised in November 2003 at the National Gallery of Slovenia in Ljubljana with 199 works presented. Since then the Biennial has become a recognizable event to evaluate and award work in selected categories, which are neglected by other similar festivals. The submitted works are first reviewed by a national jury that selects the entries to be presented at the exhibition, which can then compete for the prizes awarded by the international jury. National jury comprises of award winners of the previous Biennial.
International Cooperation
Awarded works from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Biennial were shown at the exhibition Work from... Slovenia in Governor’s Palace in Brno, Czech Republic, as a part of the 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno in 2008. In 2009 the exhibition Best Slovenian design in visual communications 01/02/03 took place in Forum Gallery in Zagreb, Croatia.
