The Škofja Loka Artists Association's members, who organise the colony, select a painting by one of the Šubic painters - [[Janez Šubic|Janez]], [[Jurij Šubic|Jurij]] or [[Ive Šubic]] - and invite artists to participate. The colony's focus in 2007 was the ''Dead Bird'' oil painting. Participating artists covered all media: painting, sculpture, photography, design, comics and writing. The works were subsequently exhibited at the [[Ivan Grohar Gallery, Škofja Loka]]. In 2007 the Grohar Stipend was bestowed on the Slovene comic author [[Iztok Sitar]]. |
