The young artists work in Velenje for five days and the colony concludes with an exhibition at the gallery. A jury bestowes two prizes: a purchase of one work and a personal exhibition in the following year. Velenje Gallery has thus been enriching its permanent collection of the artworks by Slovene artists with the works from the emerging generation (on display at the Velenje Castle. In 2009 (colony's 20th anniversary) they have presented this part of the collection on the exhibition 20 let pozneje [20 Years Later] by juxtaposing them with the recent production of the former participants.
