At the beginning of its operation the Kapsula Gallery annually gave its podium to the project ''The Golden Thigh'' [Pri zlatem stegnu] of the Slovene artist group [[Mladen Stropnik]], [[Nataša Skušek]], and [[Katja Skušek]]. Beside periodical solo exhibitions like that of [[Rado Štrukelj]] in 2009 and those by Vigdis Storsveen, [[Beli sladoled]] group, [[Son:DA]], and [[Jože Barši]] in 2010, the gallery cooperates with other visual arts events in Ljubljana. In collaboration with the 28th [[Biennial of Graphic Arts]] it prepared the exhibition ''Heroes of the Sexual Revolution'' by Danish artist Jesper Fabricius.

Opened in 2008 and located in the underground shopping arcade Podhod Ajdovščina in the Ljubljana centre till the end of 2011, the Kapsula Gallery, along with the P74 Centre and Gallery, is one of two branches of the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute and functions as a project space and shop in the Šiška Cultural Quarter.

Apart from smaller exhibitions Kapsula offers multiples, artists' books, catalogues, and limited editions books of artist represented by the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute, which lately regularly visits international art fairs such as Viennafair and especially art fairs specialised in the promotion of artists' books such as the NY Art Book Fair (P.S.1, New York) or the International Art Book Fair MISS Read (KunstWerke, Berlin).

In February 2012 the gallery moved together with the P74 Centre and Gallery in the Šiška Cultural Quarter.
