The Architects' Society of Ljubljana (DAL) has been serving the professional interests of its 370 plus members since Established:1997, primarily in dealings with relevant state and municipal governmental structures. As a professional association for architects and citizens it provides current information about local and international tenders, competitions, prizes, educational events, as well as legal advice. The DAL is the co-fouder of the renowned Plečnik Award, which is awarded each year by the Plečnik Fund. Since 1972 it has also published Architects' Bulletin (ab), an international magazine on architecture and architectural theory.


Since 2007 the offices of the Architects' Society of Ljubljana have also functioned as the headquarters of the revived Union of Slovene Architects' Societies.

Exhibitions and projects

Every two years DAL presents member projects at the Arhitektura–Inventura exhibition [Architecture–Stocktaking] held at Cankarjev dom.

A series of exhibitions and lectures entitled Visions presents the association's views and readings of the architectural development of Ljubljana. The fourteenth edition of the series was organised at the Kresija Gallery in November 2019.
