Mini Theatre

Founded in 1999 by the actor and puppeteer Robert Waltl and director Ivica Buljan, Mini Theatre is an award-winning repertory theatre engaged in post-dramatic theatre and theatre for the young. The company runs a theatre hall at Križevniška ulica 1 in the old city centre of Ljubljana, which opened in 2009.

Mini Theatre annually organises the Mini Summer - International Festival for Children and since 2005 the Festival of Medieval and Renaissance Music.

The creators of the performance Divjad (Game) Aljaž Jovanovič, Tina Vrbnjak, Jurij Drevenšek, Nejc Gazvoda (director), Ajda Smrekar, Matej Puc and Maruša Majer), Mini Theatre, 2013.

Klub Menza pri koritu

A latecomer to the Metelkova mesto cultural complex, Menza pri koritu ("Canteen at the Trough") was established in 2000. Formally a youth club, it is actually a multi-purpose creative space, sometimes open throughout the day and offering a wide range of activities, featuring workshops, concerts, poetry evenings, film screenings and theatre performances. It can also be used as either practice grounds for musicians or as a place where one can actually get a cup of Turkish coffee.
