Teorija in praksa Journal [Theory and Practice] is the longest running published interdisciplinary journal of social sciences in Slovenia, covering political science, journalism, sociology, psychology, defence studies, cultural studies, anthropology, and communication science. It has been published on a bimonthly basis since 1964 by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. The journal features contributions by acclaimed Slovene and foreign social scientists. Special issues present timely and relevant topics as well as in-depth interviews with prominent personalities in the Slovene social and academic arena. Teorija in praksa round tables bring to the fore issues that are an inherent part of today's social landscape.

The journal's website offers access to an archive of issues from 2003 to the present with tables of contents and abstracts in English.

International cooperation

The journal has an international advisory board and is included in a number of academic databases, such as International Political Science Abstract (IPSA), CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts (CSA WPSA), CSA Sociological Abstracts (CSA SA), International Bibliography of Book Reviews of Scholarly Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (IBR-Online), and International Bibliography of Periodical Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CSA SSA).
