The Pixxelpoint International Festival of Computer Art was launched in 2000 and presents digital artworks from around the world. The aim of the Festival is to transfer computer art into real space and link artists from different backgrounds and territories and is organised by Nova Gorica Arts Centre.
Each year the Festival introduces a theme presented by a guest-curator. In 2008 and 2009 the festival is curated by Domenico Quaranta. Around 230 works, divided into graphics, animations, and interactive art and music, are presented in competition at the Nova Gorica City Gallery. The festival also features lectures, demonstrations and club evenings, which constitute a colourful addition to the programme.
