The Youth Centre for Cultural Activities Maribor (MKC) was established in 1993 by Maribor Urban Municipality. The Youth Centre for Cultural Activities Maribor (MKC) was established in 1993 by Municipality of Maribor. It is a public institution, designed to stimulate, develop and mediate the activities of young people in the field of arts. MKC's activities include computer and new media art, literature, theatre and dance art, visual arts, video, film and photography, music, non-profit management and production. Its most important and oldest projects are the No Border Jam Festival and the International Festival of Computer Arts (IFCA). MKC participates also in the Slovene Book Days and organises the Ethno Concert Cycles and the Performa Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts.
