The Regional Development Agency of the northern Slovene region of Carinthia (bordering Austria) was founded in 2000 as a limited liability company by 12 Carinthian municipalities, the [[National Agency for Regional Development (NARD)]], the Carinthia Regional Chamber of the [[Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS)]], the Regional Chambers of Crafts in Ravne na Koroškem, Slovenj Gradec, Dravograd and Radlje ob Dravi, the Entrepreneurial Centre Ltd Slovenj Gradec, Alp Peca Ltd Crna na Koroškem, and SCEPTER Ltd Vuzenica. The tasks of the Carinthia RRA are: preparing regional development programmes and co-ordination of local partners, monitoring and reporting on programme implementation, preparing applications for regional and international funding, organising various projects in the field of regional structural policy, and conducting professional tasks for the Regional Board of Carinthia's Municipalities.
