Production
Bufeto regularly appear at KUD France Prešeren Arts and Culture Association (where they are based) and make guest appearances in Slovene theatre houses such as Ljubljana Puppet Theatre and Café Teater, as well as in Mladinsko Theatre where they performed in the theatre's children's plays The Clowns and Pika and in the productions of King Oedipus [Kralj Ojdipus] (1998) and the acclaimed Silence, Silence, Silence (1996). In 2010, Bufeto co-produced together with Mladinsko Theatre the performance Ultimate Tragedy [Ultimativna tragedija], directed by Ravil Sultanov, which was based on Shakespeare's King Lear and Hamlet and featured an international cast.
Bufeto present their shows at different festivals throughout Slovenia, such as Lent Festival, Trnfest Festival, Primorska Summer Festival, Koper-Capodistria, etc.
Klovnbuf Festival
Aiming to popularise the art of clown, the institute organises an international contemporary clown theatre festival Klovnbuf, which has thus far hosted numerous artists from Russia, France, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, UK, USA, etc. The festival takes place in different locations in Ljubljana (also at the Ljubljana Castle and also features workshops. The 2011 edition of the festival was entitled Cherchez la Femme and included performances by female clown artists, numerous interactive street actions, and a laboratory held by the internationally renowned artists Nola Rae, which was co-organised with Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia.
