Programme
The festival was initiated in 1994 by Andrej Morovič, a writer and a performer, and is one of the oldest admission-free events in Ljubljana with a view to popularising literature and music. The festival happenings are open to all as they are held at the old square (Stari trg) in Ljubljana. Readings by Slovene and foreign authors, talks with the participating writers, discussions on literature and the fusion of music and literature feature in the programme. As parts of the accompanying programme called O’živela knjiga, book sales, creative workshops, where discarded books are put to new uses, a street reading spot and book presentations also take place.
