After some changes of name and founders, the library became an autonomous institution in [[established::1994]] and now runs branches in Muta, Vuzenica, Podvelka and Ribnica na Pohorju, plus lending units at Remšnik and Vuhred. Housed in a 653 square metre building, the library contains a collection of 46,500 items and has more than 3,000 registered readers. It incorporates a reference library, a periodicals reading room with 100 titles, a local information department, a youth department and a children’s corner. Many workshops, exhibitions, lectures, screenings and writing and computer skills courses are organised here throughout the year.
