The union consists of Slovene public (53) and private music schools (3) with the concession of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, therefore it represents the union of 56 music schools, which educate pupils under the music and ballet program at primary and secondary level. Association is committed to improve the working conditions of teaching and music schools to promote music education in the country and to interconnect schools.
Cooperation
It has closely collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Sport, the National Education Institute (Zavod RS za šolstvo) and other related organisations to conceive modification and elaboration of the umbrella act about governance of the music schools, passed in Spring 2000.
