Choirs have to present three to four programmes: rounded programm with characteristic music of the land from which the choir comes from (non-competitive performance), programme of historical periods, free programme and extra programme in the final. The competition is extremely challenging because the choir can repeat only one song through the contest and fully has to prepare around 45 minutes of pure music. It is estimated by the jury which always consists of five members: two from Slovenia and three from abroad.
