Organised every two years by the Brumen Foundation, this event seeks to provide a platform for visual design in Slovenia and internationally. The first Biennial was organised in November [[Established::2003]] at the National Gallery of Slovenia in Ljubljana. 199 works were presented, and in an accompanying programme eminent designers Mieczyslaw Wasilewski (Posters and Drawings), Jean-Françoise Porchez (Typography Work), Bruno Monguzzi (The Naked Word) and Bo Linnemann (National Identity) gave lectures.
