Fičo Ballet is an artist led company founded in 2000 by Goran Bogdanovski and a core group of artistic collaborators and dancers. The group performs in original and unconventional ways, striving to transform classical and academic dance-styles into inspiring, understandable, and accessible performances enabling new experiences of art.

Fičo Ballet's dance and theatre projects aim to reflect the 'emotional landscape of the everyday'. Combining playfulness and skill, Fičo Ballet redefine dance virtuosity. Since its establishment, Fičo Ballet created 1:0, Sweat and Soot, Against the Stream and Summer Breeze, and I:move, Emofad – Emotivity of Adventure, and :id , followed by Confi-dance in 2004, Igra (2004); Edge of eden (2005); Formula (2007) and Sun City (2006/7). In April 2008, JOHN, premiered at Joyce SOHO, New York City. Fičo Ballet produces also produces theatre performances aimed at younger audiences.

Fičo Ballet has also collaborated with the Nomad Dance Academy, for the NOMAD Education Programme 2008 launched by the Balkan Dance Network. This initiative is dedicated to providing practical and theoretical knowledges and enabling artistic exchange between 12 emerging contemporary dancers from the Balkans in order to create a network for future artistic collaboration. Other partners include Eks Scena, Zagreb, Croatia; Tala Dance Center, Zagreb, Croatia; Station - Service for Contemporary Dance, Belgrade, Serbia; Lokomotiva - Center for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture, Skopje, Macedonia; and the Brain Store Project, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Attempting to bring democracy to high art, Fičo Ballet also provide an on-going, weekly training to all interested in movement and dance as well as give workshops and lectures.

Fičo Ballet are members of the Asociacija, Association of Arts and Culture NGOs and Freelancers of Slovenia. They are also part of the Informal European Theatre Meeting (IETM) network.

Goran Bogdanovski has performed ballet, contemporary dance, physical theatre and video projects since 1990. He has graduated from Ljubljana Ballet School, and later went on to study gymnastics, electronic engineering, philosophy, ballet and contemporary dance techniques. He has taken part in several research projects by numerous choreographers and artists including: Emio Greco, Josef Nadj, Jordi Cortes Molina, David Zambrano, Chrysa Parkinson, Howard Katz Fireheart, Francois Michele Pesenti. Bogdanovski was also a tutor of DanceWeb 2002, ImpulsTanz Festival Vienna, Austria, and in 2003 he took part in the residency in NYC via CEC Artslink. In 2004 he was awarded a residency from the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perrault in Montreal, Canada.

-Until 2007 Fičo Ballet co-operated with more than 100 artists, held workshops and performed over 200 times in places as London, Moscow, New York, Boston, Montreal, Hanover, Berlin, Prague, Milan, Antwerp, Copenhagen, Bytom, Warsaw, Volgograd, Monaco, Belgrade, Podgorica, Graz, Cividale del Friuli, Cahors, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Pula, Cambridge, and of course throughout Slovenia.
