The netlabel Biomechanics was founded in 2007. It is a non-commercial, Internet-based label, that till now has released a varied range of minimalistic dub, dark techno, drone and downbeat flavoured music. Its releases (EPs, LPs and DJ podcasts) are available for free download under the Creative Commons license.

An international cast of musicians have contributed their work; some of them are Organon (also a co-founder of the label), Octex, Symann, Finn Johannsen, Jolka, Luka Baumann, Marcel Heese, Absolute Time, and Sustainer.
