In the recent years the Vesna Award for the best full-length film went to Children from Petriček Hill (Otroci s Petrička) directed by Miran Zupanič (2007), Landscape No. 2 (Pokrajina št. 2) directed by Vinko Möderndorfer and 9:06 by Igor Šterk.
