Since 2003 the Trimo Architectural Awards are granted every two years for the best architectural solutions that use the Trimo products in a creative and innovative way. The awards for the most innovative and unconventional aplications are assigned to the projects in two categories – The Complete Architectural Solution and Special Awards for the Innovative Use of Trimo Products.

The purpose of the contest is to encourage architects and designers for innovative and different thinking in planning, use, and implementation of Trimo products in all sorts of projects, and thus influence the development of the technical field.


In 2009 114 works from 14 countries entered the competition. The Complete Architectural Solution awards were bestowed to Kaj Bøgh Jensen and Morten Degner Dahl for the JYSK Distribution Centre Uldum (DK); Slavojka Akrapovič, Robert Zakrajšek and Damjan Holc for the Foundry and Testing Room Akrapovič (SI); and Ramón Escolano for the EADS – Airbus Sevilla A400M (ES).
