First three years the festival featured just a workshop involving Slovene and international tutors, afterwards the festival become richer for exhibitions, guest lectures, and the Photography Experience, the photography course for young people (from 10 to 20 years old). Exhibitions are prepared in the local institution for visual arts as in the [[Simulaker Gallery]], but also in the public space as the cosmetics shop. The festival also includes a series of forums (called Tribunal) which offer an arena for photographers, tutors, curators, editors, enthusiasts and experts to meet in discussion.

Past guest tutors have included Miguel Rosales, a fashion photographer from Paris, [[Evgen Bavčar]], a Slovene conceptual photographer, Bjorn Steinz, a documentary photographer from Frankfurt, Jean Christoph Queto, an art photographer from New York, Marko Pršina, a natural science photographer, [[Bojan Brecelj]], a staff photographer from [[IPAK - Photographers and Journalist Agency]], and [[Brane Kovič]], a Slovene photography theoretician. The sixth edition strengthened the connections with London College of Communication and questioned the Dilemmas of the Documentary Photography; the workshops were for the first time divided (beginners, advanced, master).

Workshops of the ninth edition had tutors as Ahmet Polat (Netherlands/Turkey), Abbie Trayler-Smith and Steve Forrest (both from Great Britain), Nataša Košmerl and Uroš Abram from Slovenia, and Pep Bonet (Spain), who worked with the master class of 6 participants and themed the identity. Further themes of 2009 were the urn of Novo mesto, belief, social life, love, tribulation, and fishing. Further tutors of those workshops were some established Slovene photographers as Borut Peterlin, Arne Hodalič, and Meta Krese to name just a few of them.

Past guest tutors have included Miguel Rosales, a fashion photographer from Paris, Evgen Bavčar, a Slovene conceptual photographer, Bjorn Steinz, a documentary photographer from Frankfurt, Jean Christoph Queto, an art photographer from New York, Marko Pršina, a natural science photographer, Bojan Brecelj, a staff photographer from IPAK - Photographers and Journalist Agency, and Brane Kovič, a Slovene photography and art critic.
