Since Spring 2007 the Art Centre has been closed in line with a local government decision. Several protests have been lodged. In the meanwhile the Art Središče Institute and its crew were operating the Atelje Azil [Asylum Studio] at Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Centre in collaboration with the KUD Mreža Arts and Culture Association. After several public campaigns and with the involvement of the Ministry of Culture which became the owner of the premises, the crew managed to move back in April 2008.
