Mission and objectives
The establishing of the reading club was based on a vibrant cultural and language exchange between Regensburg and Slovenia. The study of Slovenian language at the University of Regensburg was possbile since its inception in 1967, today the reading club is providing the necessary study material for students and general public. Among other periodicals, the newspapers Delo and Dnevnik are delivered daily.
Events
The reading club is also a social and a meeting place where guest lectures, presentations, public readings, film events and round tables are organised. So far, the guests included artists, writers and poets (Drago Jančar, Barbara Korun, Veit Heinchen, Taja Kramberger, Iztok Osojnik, Jani Kovačič, etc.) and lecturers (Marija Bidovec, Matteo Colombi, Marko Zajc, and others).
