About
Celje Music School is one of the best Slovene music schools and represents one of the central cultural and musically-educational foundations in Municipality of Celje. Musical lessons are implemented in parent unit and also in two dislocated units – Štore and Vojnik. More than 600 young musicians are attending various lessons. The school’s goal is following student interests and guiding them to orchestral instruments. The school has six orchestras: Youth Symphony Orchestra, Youth String Orchestra, Youth Wind Orchestra, Little String Orchestra, Little Wind Orchestra and so called Extra Band.

Elementary education is divided in several stages: preschool musical education (5 year-olds), music trainee (6 year-olds) and the usual lessons (from 7 year-olds). All instrumental lessons are individual, theory and chamber lessons are in groups. Secondary music education - an artistic high school programme is a four year following programme.
