KULT3000 in Ljubljana opened in 2013 with an aim to promote culture, networking and cultural tourism. It is part of a growing network of similar information centres run by the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia. The venue in Ljubljana is located in the smallest house at Metelkova called Vratarnica (the Gate) and should offer space for various events of cultural producers located at Metelkova, and animate the large outdoor area within the museum quarter. Its programme is being outlined together with the Ministry of Culture, the owner of the venue. The KULT3000 center in Monošter (Hungary) was set up to assist numerous Slovene minority cultural programme.

Activities

KULT3000 is surrounded by three major national museums and located in a very proximity of the alternative Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Centre. Its main challenge is to connect the diverse agents active on the Metelkova Street, which became the main cultural quarter in the city.
