Klub Baza first opened its doors in 2015. Stationed at the former premises of the Student Club Ajdovščina, the place is run (and was set up) by an independant collective of locals who craved for an alternative venue for various cultural activities.

Here, one can attend music concerts of all varieties, see a photograohy or fine arts exhibition, listen to a travelogue lecture or possibly something else.

Programme

The music concerts and events held at Klub Baza are of a very diverse nature, among which one can metnion Kayo Dot (an experimental jazz and metal hybrid form NY, US), the oldschool bluesrock trio Prismojeni Profesorji Bluesa, the dub-centred Dubzilla, the pop punk Trash Candy, explorative jazz trio Rok Zalokar Trio, the newwave/post-punk Bernays propaganda (MK), the gypsy punk band Kultur Shock, folk metal AVVEN, rock bands Werefox, Persons From Porlock, the death metal God Scard, etc. There are also regular disco and everything-goes dance nights, regae Raggalution and Real Life Version. the palce was also one fo the stops for the Club Marathon

Apart from painting and photography exhibitions (with works by young artists Taša Turk, Tea Curk Sorta, Polona Ipavec), Klub baza also hosted lectures on art and book presentations (for example, one by Dragan Vuković (HR), Slušaj Naglasnije label). Travelogue lectures are a very regular feature at Klub Baza, and there were also fairs featuring works by local craftsman that deal with ceramics, lcothing, home-made cosmetics, and so on. These faurs have later moved to another location.
