The MGL Library Book Collection publishes original theoretical works by Slovene theatre researchers and practitioners, including authors such as Dušan Moravec, Bratko Kreft, Josip Vidmar, Ferdo Delak, Taras Kermauner, Draga Ahačič, Bojan Štih, Rudi Šeligo, Dušan Jovanović, Vasja Predan, Blaž Lukan, Tomaž Toporišič, Nebojša Pop-Tasič, etc. In addition, the collection has focused since its inception on the introduction of fundamental theatre theory works into the Slovene space, publishing translations of classical authors, such as Peter Brook, Antonin Artaud, Edward Gordon Craig, Jerzy Grotowski, Constantin Stanislavsky, Eugene Ionesco, Phyllis Hartnoll, Aleks Sierz, Marvin Carlson, and Patrice Pavis.
Recently, the collection aims to cover titles that tackle the heterogeneity and interdisciplinarity of contemporary theatre practices and reflect their wider cultural and social context. Thus, it has published a selection of interviews from Josette Féral's trilogy Mise en scene et jeu de l'acteur [Režija in igra] (2008) and André Lepecki's Exhausting Dance: Performance and the Politics of Movement [Izčrpavajoči ples: uprizarjanje in politika giba] (2009).
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place.
