Nova revija publishing house, named after Nova revija journal, is publishing six periodicals (humanities, literature) and several book collections.

The publishing house was established in 1990 and centred around the Nova revija journal (which was first published in 1982 by Cankarjeva založba). In the 1990s Nova Revija Publishing House launched four other periodicals – Phainomena, Poligrafi, Ampak and Dignitas – and also began publishing several book collections (Samorog, Paradigme, Interpretacije, Hieron, Phainomena, Pričevanja, Korenine, Libra, Slovenska kronika, Feniks). To date it has published over 500 titles, among them translations of theoretical works by Heidegger, Husserl, Merlo-Ponty and Dilthey and of novels by Camus, Kundera or Gombrowicz, together with selected Slovene classic and contemporary poetry and prose (for example, France Prešeren, Edvard Kocbek, Rudi Šeligo, Dane Zajc, Veno Taufer, Niko Grafenauer) and books on art.

In 1993 the publishing house founded the Josip Jurčič Foundation, which bestows the Jurčič Award for achievements in journalism, and in 1998 it co-founded the Marjan Rožanc Foundation (with Mihelač Publishing House), which bestows the Rožanc Award for essayists.

In 2005 Nova revija publishing house established a book club called Samorog ("The Unicorn"). The Samorog Book Club catalogue is available online.
