Slomedia.it, the first Slovenian and Italian online newspaper, is based in Trieste and was established in 2008. The newspaper covers both daily world-news and local and regional news in Slovenia and Italy, with emphasis on the border towns of Gorizia, Trieste, Udine and Koper. The language of the newspaper is bilingual, the news and articles are accessible in Italian and Slovenian.

Content overview

Besides the news from the world and the region, the focus point of the news reports are the political and cultural activities of the Slovenian minority living in Italy. The newspaper acts as an communication and bonding tool between Slovene and Italian readers from the both sides of the border.
