Synaptic is a group of Ljubljana-based producers, DJs, and VJs, who promote, connect, and collaborate in the field of heterogeneous underground electronic music and multimedia art. They also organise club events and festivals and run a record label Synaptic Pathways.
Since 1998 Synaptic has been exploring and representing electronic genres such as IDM, all kinds of techno and house, minimal, bass, and other alternative electronic post-genres. They have hosted prominent foreign artists from the underground electronic scene, starting with Jan Jelinek, Tim Hecker, Ben Frost, Mike Shannon, Deadbeat, Frivolous, Moomin, Move D, Sutekh, Akiko Kiyama, Masayoshi Fujita, Claro Intelecto, Shackleton and many more.
The most active current members of Synaptic are Symann/Ulix, Zergon, Utti, Nitz, Freeverse, Lux, and Splinterhouse who frequently perform on different events around Slovenia and abroad.
