Founded byRiko, Talum

Named after Slovene architect Jože Brumen (1930-2000), a pioneer in modern design and a professor, the Brumen Foundation was established in February 2003 by six designers: Petra Černe Oven, Radovan Jenko, Žare Kerin, Matevž Medja, Ranko Novak and Peter Skalar. Its aim is to improve the quality of visual design in Slovenia and promote it internationally. The work of the Foundation focuses on organising the Biennial of Slovene Visual Communication, a biennial overview of Slovene visual communications design assessed by an international jury, whose members present their own work in a series of lectures and an exhibition called the International Design Event.
