GOML organised a festival of children performances called the Golden Stick Festival, confers the Little Golden Stick Awards and functioned as the headquarters of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ), Slovenia.
Since 2009 the theatre was merged with the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre.
