Glasbe sveta
About
Glasbe sveta/Musiche dal mondo is an international cross-border music festival, which connects the neigbouring cities of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and Gorizia (Italy) as well as their surroundings. Established in 2011, the festival focuses on the presentation of different musical expressions from all over the world, shedding light on globally acclaimed artists from Africa, Asia, North, Central and South America as well as Europe.

The festival is regularly held at two venues, at Kromberk Castle in Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and at Villa Attems in Ločnik near Gorizia (Italy). It is co-produced by the Slovenian cultural association KUD Morgan, the Regional Museum Goriški muzej, and the Italian cultural association Controtempo Jazz, which joined the production of the festival in 2019.
Past guests include globally acclaimed artists such as Kamasi Washington, Fred Wesley, Kokoroko, Huun-Huur-Tu, Dobet Gnahoré, Sona Jobarteh, Mdou Moctar and many more.
