The Library of the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis (ISH) was established in 1994. The collection comprises current titles in the field of humanities and social sciences, especially social and historical anthropology, sociology of culture, media theory, linguistics and epistemology. Most of the collection is in English and French, but there are also several collections of Slovene translations in the field of humanities (e.g. Analecta, Krtina, Studia humanitatis).

The Library currently hold more than 7,000 units of library material, it also offers an open access to all of its collections for external users. The Library offers a small reading room with computers.
