Established in 1992, Artes Gallery is a private gallery formerly located in Nova Gorica, close to the Italian border. Since its establishment it has organised more than 150 exhibitions, mostly solo exhibitions by well-known international and Slovene visual artists (e.g., Lojze Spacal, BridA), and some of them in cooperation with other cultural institutions (e.g., Nova Gorica City Gallery, Gorica Cultural Centre in Italy, and various other Slovene and foreign galleries). In the past the gallery co-organised an annual meeting of visual artists in Medana (MMM Art - Medana International Fine Arts Workshop) whilst also hosting international participants, visual projects, book presentations and auctions.

In 2019 the gallery venue in Nova Gorica closed its doors and it is set to open again in a new venue in the village of Pedrovo in the spring of 2020. The new venue will include a gallery, accommodation and selling of artworks.
