Viktor Awards have been conferred since 1993 by STOP magazine on the most popular creators in media and popular culture, a Viktor Award for a Lifetime's Work and a Viktor Award for Special Achievements. After the Delo Revije brand STOP Magazine and a licence for the Viktor media award had been sold off, the Večer Newspaper bestows the awards. Voting by post or via the Internet is as popular as the final glitter and glamour of the awards ceremony.

Viktor Academy

A group of 40 professionals known as the Viktor Academy selects candidates for several Viktors of Professionalism, while readers choose Viktors of Popularity for the most popular radio and TV programmes, radio and TV personalities, and singers or music groups.
