Trbovlje, The New Media Setting (TNM) was set up in 2009 as a comprehensive programme of establishing a new-media-sensitive culture in the former industrial town of Trbovlje as well as the wider Zasavje region. It aims to create a network (community, even) featuring its various protagonists from the arts and heritage scenes as well as with those working in science, technology and tourism.

The programme – yet also a cultural society of the same name – is spearheaded by the Delavski dom Trbovlje Cultural Centre. Among its main oulets are the Speculum Artium Festival and the DigitalBigScreen Festival.

Activities

TNM has established various connections with arts, research and education institutions all over Europe. Some of them are the Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien and the Linz University of Arts.
