Residency programme
The duration of an individual residence is from 1 week to 2 months; the programme covers the costs of accommodation in the live-in studio, access to the project studio, some basic materials and certain technical equipment. Additional financial support may be provided, such as stipends to cover material costs or travel subsidies, depending on the specific call.
The candidates can apply by email throughout the year. They are required to send a CV outlining their artistic or professional experience; a portfolio or examples of previous work; and a short description of the project they want to develop. During the residency, they are required to actively participate in public activities (open studios, exhibitions, performances). The completed work becomes part of the programme collection.
Since 2011, KUD Manifest has also been organizing the ART CIRCLE International Visual Arts Festival. Consequently, the art residency in Šempeter Studio also offers an extensive network of international connections, which enables collaboration with organisers, artists and cultural institutions around the world.
