Since its opening in January 2010, the Beletrina Bookshop represents an important space for socialising and getting information about the contemporary literary scene by organising a variety of events, such as book presentations, author meetings, etc. It was opened by Študentska založba Publishing House, in the building that also houses the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovene Academy of Science and Arts, Azil Bookshop and the popular LP Café in the historical centre of Ljubljana.

Since 2014, the bookshop has been run by Beletrina Publishing Institute, the predecessor of Študentska založba. In addition to the complete collection of works published by Beletrina, the bookshop offers books by many Slovene publishing houses as well as translations of Slovene authors, which foreign readers will find particularly appealing.

Beletrina online bookshop and Biblos

The Beletrina online bookshop offers all publications by the former publishing house of Študentska založba and the current Beletrina Publishing Institute, as well as a selection of e-books. The Beletrina Publishing Institute also runs Biblos.si, the first Slovene eLibrary and eBookshop, where users can borrow or purchase e-books published by various Slovene publishing houses.
