Krafft is the only festival in the wider region entirely dedicated to acting in audiovisual arts.
Krafft Festival is dedicated to the art of acting in audiovisual creation. Founded in Kranj, where it was held from 2021 to 2025, the festival was established as an international film festival focused on outstanding screen performances. During its first five editions, Krafft presented a curated international competition programme and awarded the Golden Apple Grand Prix, the Golden Apple for Special Acting Achievement, and the Honorary Golden Apple, recognising remarkable artistic contributions to screen acting.
In 2026, Krafft moved to Ljubljana and entered a new phase. While film remains an important part of its identity, the festival has placed an even stronger focus on its industry programme, professional development, and dialogue within the audiovisual field. Alongside selected screenings and special programmes, Krafft brings together actors, filmmakers, industry professionals, students, and audiences through talks, lectures, masterclasses, and workshops centred on acting for film and audiovisual media.

Krafft Festival is produced by the Krafft Film Society in partnership with the Screen Actors Guild of Slovenia. It is supported by the Slovenian Film Centre.
