The award is not bestowed anymore. The last edition of the Magdalena International Festival of Creative Communication (where the award was given) took place in 2014.

Jury and ceremony
The judges of the 11th Magdalena in 2009 were former director of D&AD Student Awards graphic designer Ian Willingham (Great Britain), architect Karthikeya Acharya (India), designer Artemy Lebedev (Russia), graphic designer Vladan Srdić (Serbia/Slovenia), graphic and typography designer Nikola Djurek (Croatia), and video specialist Christopher Pearson (UK).
Magdalena awards are presented at a gala ceremony. The winners are showcased at the festival website, in the publication Magdalena Yearbook, and on various Magdalena appearances at related events.
All Magdalena awards
Since 1999 the Magdalena Award is granted for the best work of the competition. In 2009 Ajna Zatrić received the Magdalena Award and Golden bra in the experimental media category for Urban calendar for the city of Sarajevo.
Golden and Silver Bra Awards
The Golden Bra is awarded for the best entry in each category (print, outdoor, motion, interactive and experimental media, logotypes, magazine and newspaper design, book design, CD cover design and typography), and to the newcomer of the year (author of up to 23 years). Additionally the Golden Bra is given to authors of the best design, the best animation, and the best spoof communication. Since 2009 the Golden Bra has been granted also for the best use of photography in communication, and the best combination of copy and design. The Silver Bra is given to the second best entries in selected category and the arrangement mentioned above.
Brief Sponsor's Award
The Brief Sponsor's Award is awarded each year for the best creative brief. All the entries of the creative brief competition also compete independently for the awards in corresponding competition categories.
