The Research Institute organises scientific symposia and conferences and publishes study manuals (Scripta series) and scientific monographs (Acta series). In the latter, for example, The Glossary of Slovene Art from 1945. Terms, Movements, Groups and Tendencies was published (2009, in Slovenian) in collaboration with Študentska založba Publishing House as a result of a reviewed pedagogical process involving over 50 art students and theoreticians of the younger generation.
