Besides showcasing national productions, the programme also includes presentations of international stagings of Slovene plays. Thus far, the festival has hosted performances from Austria, Japan, Montenegro, Great Britain, Serbia, Slovakia, Luxembourg, etc. Prešeren Theatre Kranj works hard to further expand the international part of the festival by devising round-table discussions involving famous dramatists, experts on theatre, producers, and publishers. An important contribution to the promotion of the creation of Slovenian drama are annual playwriting workshops led by prominent playwrights from Slovenia and abroad, as well as reading performances and Nominees' days, which are intended for comprehensive presentations of nominated plays and are created in cooperation with the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT) and the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.
