Background
The museum is a final result of the 2005 Lipica Museum Project funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the EEA Financial Mechanism, and the Ministry of Culture. The permanent exhibition was conceived by Taja Vovk van Gaal (otherwise the leader of the academic project team of the House of European History in Brussels) and interpreted by architect Sanja Jurca Avci. The content was contributed also by the Goriška Museum, Technical Museum of Slovenia and Slovenian Museum of Natural History.
