The [[St Nikolaus Choir]] from Litija is a young choir established in [[established::1997]], which is conducted by [[Helena Fojkar Zupančič]] and consists mostly of students from Litija and its surroundings. In just a few years it has become a prominent Slovene choir. Under the patronage of Nova Kultura Litija and the Parish of Litija, the Choir is also a member of Europa Cantat, European Forum of Youth Choirs. It excelled at the 2003 National Choir Competition in Maribor, receiving the golden plaque and numerous additional awards. In December 2003 the Choir released its first CD entitled ''Božična Luč'' ('Christmas Light'). In September 2004 it participated in two choir festivals in Fano and Pesaro (Italy) and gave two Christmas concerts at [[Cankarjev dom Culture and Congress Centre]] with the [[RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra]]. In early 2005 the Choir presented a concert in the [[Slovene Philharmonics|Slovene Philharmonics Halls]] in Ljubljana.

Established in 1997, the Saint Nicholas Choir Litija has grown into a mixed choir of over 45 singers. From its beginnings it has been led by Helena Fojkar Zupančič with the help of Janez Klobčar. Renowned in Slovenia and abroad, along with other high achievements, the choir was awarded first place and a golden plaque at the 19th Naša pesem Choir Competition 2005 in Maribor. The choir has recorded 3 albums.
