The first PoEtika Autumn Academy of 2004 took place within the framework of the 15th Association of Puppeteers. Four young professional actors, all aged between 18 and 33, collaborated with an editor and a producer under the guidance of tutor Janez Lapajne, and the 10-day intensive course resulted in the creation of 3 short films. In the PoEtika Summer Academy of 2006, the participants created a feature film. In 2007 at the 2nd Filofest International Student Film and Video Festival, the award for the best fiction film was bestowed to young director Luka Puš for his film Močvirje [Swamp]. The films made by young and promising directors were presented in Slovenian Cinematheque at the 5th anniversary of PoEtika Film School.
