The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Portuguese Republic on Cooperation in the Fields of Education, Culture and Science was signed in October 1999. The embassy supports cultural links between Portugal and Slovenia.
The Cultural Section of the Portugal Embassy in Ljubljana is an associated partner of the EUNIC Slovenia, the Slovene cluster of the European Union National Institutes for Culture.
In October 2010 the Embassy in Slovenia launched the event of the B-Portugal platform in Ljubljana. B-Portugal is a marketing and sales platform for culinary products, especially wines, tourism and fashion design.
